Ingredients:
  • 1/2 oncom block
  • 1 plate of cooked white rice
  • 2 tablespoons of anchovies
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 lime leaf
  • 3 shallots
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 bird's eye chilies (adjust according to spice preference)
  • 1/2 segment of ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

To make Nasi Tutug Oncom, follow these steps:

  • Preheat the Double Pan and add the oncom. Bake the oncom until it becomes slightly crispy. Remove from the heat and puree it.
  • Heat some oil and sauté the shallots, garlic, chillies, ginger, and coriander powder until fragrant. Add the bay leaf and lime leaf and continue to stir-fry.
  • Add the pureed oncom to the pan and mix well with the spices. Season with salt and adjust the taste according to your preference.
  • Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir-fry until the rice is well coated with the oncom mixture.
  • Lastly, add the basil leaves and continue to stir-fry for a few more minutes.
Your Nasi Tutug Oncom is now ready to be served. Enjoy it as a main dish or with additional side dishes of your choice.
