Ingredients
To make Sweet Potato and Sago Compote, you will need the following ingredients:
- 500 grams of sweet potatoes (about 3 pieces), peeled and cut into pieces
- 125 grams of sago
- 260 ml of instant coconut milk
- 250 grams of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of sugar (or adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 3 pandan leaves
Instructions
Here are the steps to prepare Salak Seed Compote:
- Steam the sweet potatoes until they are cooked and tender. Once cooked, set them aside and let them cool.
- Mash the sweet potatoes until they become smooth and free of lumps.
- In a bowl, mix the mashed sweet potatoes with sago tani. Knead the mixture until it becomes smooth and well combined.
- Take small portions of the dough and shape them into small round balls, similar in size to grapes.
- In the New Smart Cooker Low Carbo, boil water until it comes to a rolling boil. Add the sweet potato balls to the boiling water. Cook until the balls float to the surface, indicating that they are cooked. Immediately turn off the heat and drain the sweet potato balls.
- In the New Smart Cooker Low Carbo, boil 1 liter of water. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, pandan leaves, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Add the cooked sweet potato balls to the sugar mixture. Also, pour in the coconut milk. Stir well to combine.
- Cook the mixture while stirring constantly until it reaches a desired consistency and the sweet potato balls are fully cooked.
