Banten-style Grilled Rice

Ingredients

  • 150 grams of chicken fillet, cut into small pieces
  • 350 grams of cooked rice
  • Banana leaf
  • 3 red chilies, seeds removed, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 shallots, finely chopped
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2 cm turmeric, finely chopped
  • 1 lemongrass
  • A pinch of salt, powdered broth, and ground pepper

Instructions

  • Heat oil in the New Smart Cooker Low Carbo,
  • Sauté the spices until fragrant and cooked.
  • Add the chicken and cook until it changes colour.
  • Pour in water and cook until the water reduces.
  • Add cooked rice and basil leaves.
  • Stir well until everything is well combined.
  • Turn off the heat and prepare to wrap the rice.
  • Wrap the rice mixture in banana leaves and grill using the Family Grill until cooked.
