Ingredients

Ingredients:
  • 1 chicken, cut into 15 pieces
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 4 green chilies
  • 2 bay leaves and lime leaves
  • 7 cayenne peppers
  • 2 green tomatoes or starfruit
  • 3 cm galangal
  • 3 stalks of lemongrass
  • 500 ml coconut milk
  • Salt and sugar to taste
  • Banana leaf

Instructions

  • Boil the chicken in water using a Smart Pressure Cooker until the water boils.
  • Discard the foamy chicken cooking water and drain the chicken.
  • Sauté the sliced spices in a Smart Pressure Cooker until fragrant.
  • Add the chicken to the spices and mix well.
  • Add water and cook until the chicken is half cooked.
  • Pour in the coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Stir well and bring to a boil.
  • Prepare a container with a base made of banana leaf.
  • Place the cooked chicken along with the gravy and sliced spices into the container.
  • Add pieces of belimbing wuluh, red tomatoes, green tomatoes, red bird's eye chilies, bay leaves, and lime leaves. Cover the top with banana leaves.
  • Steam for 25-30 minutes.
  • Remove from the steamer and serve hot.
